Please ensure you have read our [Code of Conduct](https://artifactory.org.au/code_of_conduct), the expectations outlined in this document apply equally to all attendees. Note: We are entirely volunteer run with no government/NDIS funding. As such any support provided by our volunteers with projects is entirely ad hoc and cannot be relied upon as a benefit of membership. ie, our volunteers will not complete work on behalf of an attendee. ### Where support is primarily for logistics, transport, and adapting to new spaces Please reach out before attending if you have any questions. When attending, it's important to keep in mind that while our volunteers are all warm and welcoming, they are unable to act in roles a support worker may provide, such as assisting with executive functioning, emotional regulation, or sensory processing. ### Where support is related to a psychosocial or cognitive disability If there are likely to be additional considerations for being in the workshop, safely using equipment, processing information, or interacting with other members, we **strongly recommend** reaching out before attending to discuss potential adaptations or restrictions to keep you, support workers, other attendees, and our equipment safe. This conversation may include you and/or a member of your care team like a support coordinator, psychologist, or occupational therapist. There are some circumstances in which reasonable adaptations to equipment, processes, or communication are not possible. This includes situations where there is an unacceptable risk to members, attendees, equipment, or liability that cannot be appropriately mitigated. Examples of these may include a history of absconding or likelihood of acting on intrusive thoughts related to high-risk equipment. ### Where support is related to a physical or sensory disability Please reach out before attending with details regarding the types of projects you want to work on and the tools you'd like to use. We'll confirm whether any adaptations need to be made to our equipment to keep you, others, and our equipment safe. In some circumstances we may ask that your occupational therapist is involved in the conversation.
