# How much help can I get with my project?

Our space is geared towards helping people who have -

* A specific project in mind, and
* A rough idea of how to execute it (for non members), and
* The motivation to learn the required skills.

For example, if your project is to make a wooden box, our volunteers can -

* Provide general guidance on what woodworking tools and techniques might be appropriate, and
* Training and inductions for the relevant woodworking tools, so you can use them safely.

Our volunteer time is limited, which means:

* Our assistance is provided on a "best effort" basis.
* In depth advice on specific projects is only available for members.
* We can show you how to use a tool safely, but practicing, experimenting, and learning how to get **good results** with that tool is up to you.
* We can suggest and troubleshoot techniques, but **learning and executing** those techniques is up to you.
